Professional Experience
Margaret “Peg” Regan taught in the New York City school system on the Lower
EastSide of Manhattan in 1973,
moving to Hyannis, Massachusetts where she taught English in both Barnstable
middle and high schoolfor
twenty years. She was promoted to Assistant Principal for Curriculum and
Instruction in 1994 at
BarnstableHigh School. Afterwards
she moved to TamalpaisHigh School in
Mill Valley, California
as Assistant Principal where she worked in student leadership along with
other responsibilities. For the last nine years, she has been principal of Martha’s VineyardRegionalHigh School.
She has also chaired visits for the re-accreditation of schools in the New England region through the New England Association of
Schools andColleges. Her
special interests includes including student voices in the leadership team
of a middle or high school, the steps to becoming a master teacher as well
as creating a common school curriculum guide using the NEASC and state
standards.
